First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce

This Sunday’s Message: THE LORD’S SUPPER

Why do churches celebrate the Lord supper?

There were a few reasons for doing this.

  • The Bible leaves no doubt that Christians should celebrate the Lord supper. In doing so it is an act of worship.

  • The Lord supper is also a time to remember what Jesus did for every Christian when he died on the cross. He gave up his life in order to give every person who would put their complete trust in him new life.

  • The Lord supper also allows us to look ahead to the time when Jesus will return to take believers with him to heaven.

The Lord supper is not only central to the beliefs of every Christian, but it is a practice churches have been instructed to continue. First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce gladly and proudly continues this tradition which has biblical roots.

Please join us this coming Sunday as we share in the Lord’s Supper as part of our worship. We hope to see you Sunday.

Christ. Community. Compassion.

First Baptist Church exists for . .

the purpose to worship God and to be a fellowship of believers that seeks to lead lost persons to Christ, train and nurture Christians toward spiritual maturity, minister with compassion to human needs, and to support missions locally and globally through prayer, participation, giving, and proclamation.

We strive to glorify God through corporate and personal worship, becoming stronger disciples and mentoring other believers to grow in their faith and share Christ with individuals around the globe alienated from God by sin.
